Elvira, a 22-year-old Hungarian woman, trained at a traditional Thai massage school in Chiang Mai (northern Thailand), the birthplace of this ancient discipline. She is one of the few practitioners in French-speaking Switzerland to offer nuad bo’rarn in its most authentic form.
Unique features of the technique: no oil is used; the client wears loose-fitting clothing (provided); the treatment takes place on the floor on a futon. Elvira uses her palms, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure and perform stretches along the energy lines (sen). The desired effect is both physical (mobility, flexibility) and energetic (circulation, sleep).
